Panthers 2017 Schedule Preview: Weeks 3 and 13 vs New Orleans Saints

The Panthers stay home for Week 3 and welcome the New Orleans Saints to town for the first NFC South matchup of the season for Carolina. The Panthers will definitely want to start their march for a division title with a 1-0 record, so they will need to make the best of their home field advantage in their Week 3 matchup.

The Week 13 clash in the bayou could have playoff implications on the line for both teams, and with the Panthers having two road games back to back (they face the Jets away in Week 12) it will certainly be more challenging for them to pick up the win.

The Saints are one of the more explosive offenses in the league so the Panthers will definitely have to bring their offense with them when these two teams square off. Fortunately for Carolina, the Saints’ defense is less than adequate so scoring points shouldn’t be much of an issue. A lot of points will be scored in these two games, so we just have to hope the Panthers score more of them.

Trying to predict how a pair of division games will go is a fool’s errand, but I’m going to try anyway.
