Addressing the Carolina Panthers Existing Weaknesses

Just this week Gil Brandt of nfl.com listed Carolina as a team with a top five offseason in the league. While this praise can excite Panther fans, it’s important to keep in mind that every team in the NFL is happy with their offseason. This notion tends to often be forgotten.

What will matter at the end of the day is how the Panthers perform come September.

Will they return to 2015 form and create that excitement that seemed to spread across Panther nation, or will they piggy back of a 6-10 year that left many fans disappointed?

You’ll often hear that saying, “You’re only as strong as your weakest link.” I think this reigns true in the NFL especially since a team can gameplan to exploit weaknesses. Just look at Mike Remmers in the Super Bowl.

Sorry, it had to be said.

With all this in mind, it’s important when building a roster to acknowledge that it can always be improved. I think every GM in the NFL knows this fact.

Let’s delve into the two main weaknesses I see from the roster Dave Gettleman has currently put together, and analyze their impact on the Cardiac Cats chances in 2017.

Offensive Tackle Starters/Depth
