Panthers wideout Brandon LaFell is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins.
LaFell is dealing with post-concussion symptoms after taking a vicious hit from Chicago Bears safety Chris Conte in the third quarter of last week's 23-22 loss at Soldier Field.
The third-year LSU product actually returned to the game after sustaining the hit, but complained of post-concussion symptoms on Monday. He has not practiced all week.
If LaFell does not suit up, Louis Murphy and Kealoha Pilares will see expanded roles in the passing game.
Conte was fined $21,000 by the NFL this week for hitting a defenseless receiver in the head.
The Panthers are also likely to be without two backup defensive ends this Sunday. Antwan Applewhite (hamstring) and Thomas Keiser (elbow), who both sat out last week against the Bears, are listed as doubtful.
Rookie defensive end Frank Alexander is nursing a bone bruise on his knee and is currently listed as questionable.
